It's not a tragedy
My mom sent me an email today reminding me of something I told her when she slammed into a huge deer in her new Porsche about 2 hours after she bought it.
I told her, "It's not a tragedy, nobody even got hurt." The same thing goes with my table - it's just a table. Carly meant well. She was doing what I had told her to do in putting the paper down. I just didn't give enough instructions for her to follow in case of a spill. I have now :)
Anyway, just in case you were worried - and it seems some people were -- Carly wasn't punished in any way, shape or form. I did ask her to just leave me alone for a few minutes - which she wisely did. Last night, I sanded the table down and put a bit of polyurethane on it. It might be the first ding that happens to it but I'm sure it won't be the last.
In other news, Molly's obedience class didn't get enough unruly dogs registered, so it has been postponed for 2 weeks. Now THAT'S a tragedy.
