Some good - some ---- not so much
Lesson of the day: When you are making green holly wreath cookies, make sure you have the dark green food coloring. If Wal-Mart only has the new NEON green food color, pass.
Lesson 2: IF you chose to risk it, don't add another color to try and make the green darker. This will only lead to heartache and cookies that aren't fit for public viewing.
Lesson 3: Not to be totally wasted, you can always pretend to sneeze chunky slime and that's a good time.
Christine recommended a recipe today for some of the most awesome chocolate chip cookies EVER. You will want to try these at your house. They are chippiest cookies I've ever made.As our baking day progressed, I kept feeling worse, so I went to the doctor, only to find out I have bronchitis, an ear infection and a sinus infection. Once I got home, I sat through the rest of the baking fest and played with Keegan while Andi continued on without me.
She made these delicious Molasses cookies. I tore this recipe out of a magazine at the doctor's office the other day and I thought Jacob was going to report me, so I pointed out that the magazine was over 4 years old. That started him off and he was practically shouting, "You tore something out of an antique magazine!"
Lastly, Andi made these delicious truffles that she is giving away for Christmas gifts. We didn't get as much done as we had planned, but it was a good day.
