Out of synch

This has been a weird week because I am staying at Harbor House every night while the house parents are on vacation. Andi has been staying here at the house with the kids so they can maintain some sort of routine.

But things are out of sorts and although I am home during the day so that school can continue, my evenings are whacked. It's weird to not be sitting in my recliner or playing games at the kitchen table. I'm can say with some certainty that I don't like it and I'll be glad when Sunday night rolls around.

I went to my first Weight Watcher's meeting the other day only to discover that it was only an informational meeting. I can't tell you how bummed out I was to find that out. I'd been psyching myself up for weeks, and then I was told to wait, "one more week."

Well, my mind was made up and I was not waiting. So Andi, Jacob (not Big Guy but my Jacob) and I have begun. Jacob and I have walked the last 2 mornings. Yesterday we walked 8 blocks, today, 12. Yes, I know that's not a lot, but it's a start. Baby steps and all that.

Today is Billski's birthday. He' 49. He's celebrating by going to work. I tried to get him to pick out something at the Bass Pro Shop the other day, but all he wanted was a new bass boat. So he got nothin'. He is getting a huge remote control for his TV because he's always accusing the kids of losing his. This one is about 18 inches big. He should be able to hang onto it, hopefully.

That's it. Papers to grade, court to go to, grandkids to watch and then off to work.
