Youth Camp
The kids and I went to Santa Claus yesterday so that I could help in the kitchen at camp. They love it when I take them with me. We arrived about 8:00 in the morning and I immediately starting frying sausage and they immediately started playing.
Truthfully, I don't know what all they did all day. At one point, Carly came and asked if she could walk on the ropes that were strung across the lake. I told her she could if there were adults there and she wore a life jacket. My friend, Cathy, who was standing by me told me Carly had already done it once, so neither of us could really figure out why she was asking at that point.
The guest speaker for the evening service told me that Carly had been in the paddleboat with his wife, giving a play by play narrative on each person who attempted this walk --- intermingled with interesting details about our family. I'm sure she was well entertained.
Wes and Ryan swam a good portion of the day and played on the three inflatable things the church had rented.
Jacob did a bit of everything and ended his night getting to go on stage for the talent show and play air guitar on the song, Wipeout. Not even being old enough to be in youth group yet, he was thrilled.
We got home last night about 10:30 -- and everyone still had to have showers. Once that was done, however, nobody gave me any trouble about going to bed.
