decided in a further step to save on our utility bill we should buy a tankless water heater. $998.00 from Lowes. And then, since we will have all this extra space in the closet when the old water heater is removed, we purchased a water softener. $427.00 from Lowes. Of course there is always the lovely tax. $99.75 for this particular cost saving measure.

So today we have spent an additional $1,524.75 saving money. Does anyone else catch the irony here or is it just me as I hand over my debit card?
