Second little bit of news

I just got back from the courthouse where I completed my paperwork to begin working for the county as the relief parent for the residential juvenile facility in town. There are no dangerous kids at the home, mostly kids who have run away from home or kids waiting on a foster care placement.

I'll be taking my kids with me sometimes. They are excited at the prospect of having a pool table, foosball table and things like that available for them to play with. All the things I do at home, I'll just do there instead. There is a huge kitchen to mess around in and the relief parent quarters are large enough that all the kids will have a bed in there if they are with me overnight.

I'm excited to be doing this. Andi is in the process of getting her paperwork done to also be a relief parent. We will have a chance to work with kids who need some help and also be able to take them to church with us.
