Delivery Day
Even before the manuals were put away, they were both working. Wesley sat and watched the entire first wash cycle - which kinda worried me really, but whatever floats his boat. He was happy.
I was happy as my first load of jeans and towels were dry in 34 minutes. Incredible.
Bill gave me this big lecture about paying top dollar for these appliances so check them over good and do not accept delivery if there were any dings or scratches. WHATSOEVER. He said it several times, like I'm dense or something.
So I was a bit dismayed when upon looking at the dryer, I saw this scratch. It's about an inch long. Now it's not like I offer tours of my laundry room, bought the designer colors or even ordered the nifty drawer for only an additional $400.00.
I built my own platform for these workhorses to sit on and I was really not concerned about a teeny ding - knowing it will have a matching one within a month or so.
But I told the delivery guy what Bill said. He then offered to refund $150.00 for the scratch. At that point, I was good to go with it and told Bill so. He agreed, saying I could do whatever I wanted.
I figure I can use that savings to pay $116.00 to the Clerk of Gibson County for speeding through their little town the other day.
