Here's how it all went down. I told the boys they could play out on the sidewalks, ride their bikes or play basketball in the alley... BUT stay out of the yard because it is just pure mush from snow melting. They wanted to climb the tree, which is about 10 feet from the sidewalk - quite a leap for an 8 year old boy.

But smart 8 year old boys will find a way to get their goal accomplished and it this case you take one swimming boogie board, one sled, one snow disc and a spare piece of wood to make a bridge. They were quite pleased with themselves and frankly, I was quite impressed at their ingenuity.
