Medical Updates on Prayer Requests

Melanie is scheduled to see a neurosurgeon in St. Louis at Barnes Hospital, where they will go into her brain through the back of her neck and remove the mass from her brain. She will just be in the hospital for a couple of days and will take about a month at home to recover. Her headaches are so bad, she is looking forward to having this done.

Marcus is scheduled to return to Vanderbilt in April to see the head of the pedeatric neurosurgeon. Marcus continues to baffle the specialists and his case is scheduled to be presented before a international convention of genetists in two weeks.

Seth, who I asked for prayer for when he had open heart surgery a few months ago is scheduled for more surgery next Wednesday. The doctors at Riley's Children Hospital are going to break both major bones in his legs, break his ankles and run a rod up through the bottom of his feet and attach it to his hips in order to straighten his legs. Seth's house is still decorated with the posters everyone made, so this time I just ask for your prayers.

And a new one....

My uncle Bob has a tumor in his lung. If the radiation and chemo do not work, the doctors have given him only weeks to live. Uncle Bob has always been my favorite uncle. I have so many wonderful memories that involve him. My grandfather died when my mom and aunt Gayle were very young, so he was always more than just a brother to them and this illness is very hard on both of them as well. He is an amazing Christian, so I know he will be healed - whether it is on earth or as God welcomes him into heaven.
