Hooray! IxNay

the ice show of High School Musical. Tickets went on sale this morning at 10 and being the good mom that I am, I was sitting at my desk, phone in hand, to get the seats I wanted. I had checked out the seating chart of the stadium and knew right where I wanted to be. Section 8, Row 1 - seat price according to the on-line site of Ticketmaster $18.00. Quite a lot for the front row of the nose bleed section, but it was the most I was willing to go.

After I hold for about 15 minutes (there were obviously either a lot of good moms or else only one worker) I get to speak to a real person who speaks a language I understand without an accent. Always a plus for me.

The seats I wanted were available - but, hey, he can't be responsible if someone posted the wrong price on the internet. Those seats are $24.00 each. So bump up our outing by 12 bucks. OK, I agree to that after a bit of discussion on misrepresentation.

Then we get to the added fees. $4.50 per ticket charge by Ticketmaster. $3.75 per ticket charge for somebody else and a $2.25 per ticket facility charge.

Bringing our "cheap" tickets to $34.50 each. Plus tax.

I might have said something but I don't think I it was good-bye as I hung up the phone.
