Jacob was sworn in this morning as a police officer. Andi was asked to hold the Bible and be part of the ceremony. I am so proud of him and I think he is going to do fantastic at this career he has chosen.
Teresa, Jacob is working in town. He doesn't want to work for the county or state because he wants to stay right here - not worry about being transferred or anything.
I'm glad he's there in town. That must be really cool for the kids to have their big "brother" be a police officer! I see some field trips in their future!
Wow!! How great that Andi got to be a part of the festivities; holding the Bible no less! I wish the best for Big Guy, Andi, and family as they travel this new road together. It is an honorable one indeed.
oh lord! ok. Make sure that Jake knows that a Black Camaro SS convertible storming through Boonville means, A-OK! Just let it go, it is probably a matter of national security or something.
I blog because there is way too much stuff I don't want to forget and my memory fails me with increasing frequency. Plus, this way, I can not scrapbook and remain guilt free. Being guilt free is a good thing. A very good thing, indeed.
Meet my family. Starting with Andi & her husband, Jacob, aka Big Guy
If we had known he was gonna stick around when he showed up at age 14, we might have nicknamed him something different. But we didn't. They have 2 adorbable kids. They are....
Sophie - she's a hoot and, in my opinion (and that's the one that counts here)
she is as sweet as they come. Her little brother is
Keegan - he's a hoot in training. He smiles --- a lot
and giggles too. He has the sweetest personality. My oldest son is
Zac, pictured here with his son, Benjamin.
who was born in January 2011.
Benjamin is turning into Mamaw's little buddy.
Almost 13 years after Zac was born, God surprised us with
Jacob -- he cracks me up.
He is just a funny, funny kid.
This is Carly -- the lone girl in a sea of teenage boys & she handles it well.
She is 5 months older than
Wesley - who loves Legos, Pokemon and climbing trees.
Wes-Man is 5 months older than
Ryan - who is my youngest and most challenging child. Ever.
He also has the cutest freckles ever.
See what I mean by the cutest freckles ever?
We adopted the 3 youngest a few years ago from foster care on
Valentines Day - 2003
I'm so blessed.
Oh -- and this is me and Bill. I call him Billski.
11 bits to share:
What a day!!!! Congratulations!!!
Congratulations!!! He looks great in a uniform.
(P.S. Andi looks great... I mean she's so tiny from the last full length pic we've seen)
How exciting for him and your entire family! Is he on the police force in your town or another nearby city?
Andi looks fantastic. You'd never know she recently had a baby!

Congrats to Jacob and to Andi. That's something to be proud of!
To quote someone who was excited for someone else, WOO HOOOOO!
Congrats to Jacob and Andi!
