"Stop! I'm your albino husband!"
is the phrase that made my head whip around to find Jacob whispering that to Sophie as she crawled away a moment ago. I burst out laughing and asked him what did he think albino meant. He said, "without color and I don't have color."
OK - I see some reasoning skills here, but once I showed him some pictures of true albino people and animals, he accepts he does have color. He has not, however, been able to explain why he was saying that in the first place. He said it just popped into his brain.
Every time something like this happens, it makes me happy to have them home. I see (and hear) all that I would miss if they were in public school. They keep me amused most days.
