Getting caught up
I think I am officially ready for business - which is good, because people have already started contacting me for orders. I waded through all of the boxes this weekend and have everything neatly put away. My hall closet now holds lots of samples and paperwork and plastic cups have overtaken a shelf in my pantry. I have my own personal party coming up this week and starting next week are the parties I have already booked for me as a consultant.
The kids, Sophie and I went to a birthday party yesterday at a gymnastics studio. They had a blast going from place to place, bouncing and jumping, climbing and....falling.
I've started the ball rolling (no pun intended) for a church kickball tourney, which is taking the place of our softball tourney this spring. It will be May 26th, so if you go to church with me, go ahead and mark your calendars!
It's going to be a busy summer. The kids are going to two week long day camps - one on Early American History and the other on Early Civilization. Both camps will have lots of things to learn about, crafts to make from those periods, foods to eat, etc. They went to one last year on the Romans and really enjoyed it
Jacob will be going to Scout camp and both Jacob and Carly will be attending a program called Bee Healthy Boot Camp, which will focus on physical activity, good nutrition and healthy snacks. That will be 2 mornings a week for the summer.
I also want to get all of the kids into some swimming lessons this summer and they are going to be taking some piano lessons over the summer from Vicki's daughter, Samantha.
The kids and I will also be working at the food pantry our church is opening next month every Monday morning and other times as needed.

Sophie is learning to feed herself. Some things she is certainly better at than others - crackers, good.... noodles with basil - well, not so good. She is teething big time and is just teasing us pretending she can't crawl yet. I'm sure she crawls everywhere when we aren't sitting there saying, "LOOK - She's getting ready to crawl!!!" When she hears that, she just sits back and turns to look at what all the commotion is about.
I'm almost done with the preschool furniture. I have to trim out one cabinet, make one more and sand the last 4 things. Then, I'm taking a break from that for awhile --- except for something Vicki wants made and she insists that she just can't open her pool for the summer until it's made. So, since she is holding our main summertime fun hostage, I suppose I will be making something she wants for her scrapbook paper - but THEN, I'm really going to take a break. Just wait and see.
