Ginger Crinkles & Bacon Sausage Thingies

A couple of our family favorite recipes for the holidays

Ginger Crinkles

Mix all ingredients in bowl with spoon. Make into balls and roll in sugar, then bake @ 350 for 12 - 15 minutes. Simple, wonderful goodness.
1 Cup sugar
2 Cups flour
1/2 c. Molasses
2/3 veg. oil
1 Egg
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger

Bacon Sausage Thingies

Cut sausage links into halves and wrap with about a 4 inch strip of bacon. Secure with toothpicks. Toss in brown sugar and put into secure container. Add more brown sugar to sort of make a very thick syrup. Leave for about 12 hours, turning container occasionally. Cook in DISPOSABLE pan at 400 for about 25 minutes, then drain off the syrup and broil for a few minutes, turning occasionally. Make at least twice as many as the maximum you think you might need, because there are never enough to go around and never any leftovers! Here's a picture of Ryan getting ready to eat about #15 for him alone.
