Pray for Sophie Please

Philippians 4 : 6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I'm asking for prayers for Sophie. And asking that you ask everyone you know to pray for Sophie, too. There is some concern that she is not hearing as she should. She is not doing the things a baby her age should be doing - turning to voices, stopping eating when she is talked to or reacting to sounds. She does not flinch when we make noise right over her head when she is sleeping. I'm talking noise like banging pans together type of noise. She does not appear to have any startle reflex. Even as the doctor was clapping loudly behind her today, she didn't even blink. He called an ENT while we were there and they are going to try and schedule her later this week for extensive hearing tests.

Everyone kept telling Andi that if she passed her hearing test when she was born, then everything is fine. However, when we went to the doctor today, it was discovered that Sophie's hearing test was never marked pass - or fail for that matter. It's blank, so we aren't even sure she ever had one.

We are hoping and praying that Sophie is just the most laid back baby and nothing bothers her -- and that very well may be. We are praying for yet another miracle in her life if something is indeed wrong with her. And we are asking that you pray along with us. Thank you.
