The animal condo

Yesterday I spent the day with dad helping pour the cement foundation for the new animal condo we are building. This slab of cement is about 12 foot long and is the future home to a row of animal houses which will be insulated, heated and sided to match his own house. There will be a house for the cats, then a larger house for the great dane, then a smaller house for more cats and on top, a coon house.

I'm not an animal lover. Cats would be my least favorite pet of all time. He has 18 of them. But I do love my dad and when these cats are all lounging out on their patios - yes, patios - I'm sure he will be happy. So I will be too.
