Enjoy your kids today

Today - Joshua Osborn would have been 3 years old. I have known and loved his mom, Amy for a long time now. I remember when Amy found out she was pregnant after many, many years of trying to have a baby -- through 3 adoptions she was still trying to conceive and then she did. It was nothing short of a miracle and I have never known anyone who enjoyed being pregnant more. The email sent announcing Joshua's birth brought tears of joy. The picture of Jeremy, Jimmy and Jason wearing their "I'm the big brother" T shirts were great. Everyone was celebrating with them. None of us who received it will ever forget the email Amy sent on a Thursday night about how wonderful it was to be a mom. How much she was looking forward to watching Joshie do the things his brothers had done - walk, call her mom, give her hugs. And the email that came 2 days later.... saying Joshie was gone home to Jesus. And we all knew their lives were changed forever. Amy's strong Christian faith has helped her continue her life after the unthinkable happened to their family. Joshie only lived a short time, but he brought so much love and joy to his family it is immeasurable. Please keep the Osborn family in your prayers today.

And today, in memory of Joshie and just because you can - do something fun with your kids. And don't forget to give them a big hug.
