To go or not to go (bed and cruising)

The kids are asleep and the house is quiet. I hate to leave good company (mine) so I think I will just hang out a bit more. Some of my friends are going on a cruise next June - 2006 - and want me to go along because I am just fun to hang out with. I have never had even the slightest desire to go on a cruise - except maybe to Alaska. But they are going to the Bahamas. It's a getaway for moms. Not to mention that I would rather take a beating than get on an airplane. So to pay someone to terrify me seems rather sadistic. So, on one hand, I think that is a lot of money to go do something that I really don't want to do - but on the other hand a week of vacation with my girlfriends might be priceless. I have to ponder this one for awhile. Not too long though as they are booking this trip soon. We would fly to Florida on Thursday evening and return on Monday afternoon. Good gosh - when I look at that in print it is a LOT of money for no more time than we would be gone. I could do all sorts of things with 800 bucks with the kids and make a lifetime of memories. Well, so glad I decided to put these thoughts into my blog - my mind is made up. No cruising for me. And I think I will go to bed now too.
