It's turkey season
Now before this year that didn't mean a thing to me. Turkey season came and went and I never knew the difference. This year, however, Bill has decided to go turkey hunting. In years past, he has hunted for deer which always struck me as stupid because we don't eat deer meat. None of us. Last year we paid $160.00 to process 2 deer. I had to go to the butcher dude to pick them up. After I loaded my van with all this wrapped meat which I eventually gave away and/or threw away, BD (butcher dude) tells me, "don't forget your bones." Huh? Seems I also have to load this garbage bag of bones from the dead deer and while I am doing that, the bag breaks when a hoof punches through it. Suffice to say, I was not in a happy mood when I got home. So this year Bill decides to go turkey hunting because we will eat the turkey. OK. I can go with that idea. Even when I found out a turkey license was 30 bucks. This will be the most expensive turkey we've ever bought - that's assuming he shoots a turkey. And that was before he came home to tell me his gun is not right for turkey shooting. He is on the phone right this minute with a gun dealer to buy a "good" turkey gun. The price of turkey just went up.
