What a great day for a race! We ended up naming our food since Vicki said they would just name it to eat it anyway. So we are taking our Firecracker Fajitas, (recipe in cookbook), Boston Tea Party Baked Beans, 27th State Key Lime Pie and Perri's Patriotic Pilgrim Peanut Butter Pie. The lime pie had to be taste tested naturally (it was quite good) and notice I'm getting better at those little lines on top of the PB pie. They are only smushed down on top because the lid was touching the top of the pie.
The kids and I all made our boats and we are ready for the costume contest. A little hint -- it involves a "fruited plane."
