Happy 18th Birthday, Fred
I love this kid. I call him Fred. Short for Fred Flintstone, because he has big, wide, caveman like feet. With freaky toes. Not that I know if Fred had freaky toes, but Jacob sure does. His big toe is really set off from his others. It's almost like there should be a couple of other toes in there or something. He uses his toes like an extension of his hands. It's like he has 4 hands. Kinda creepy.
Hmmm. Creepy and Freaky. Nice description of the birthday boy.
I love it when he had his hair cut like the picture above. He wore it this way for about 3 hours once before washing it out, combing it down and going back to the little boy haircut he's had since he was about 6. But his hair - that's pretty much all we disagree on. I guess he will wear it this way until he's bald on top.
Jacob is a great kid and I can count the days he's given me trouble on one hand........maybe 2, but definitely not 3. He has brought a constant stream of joy and laughter into my life for the past 18 years and he is and will no doubt continue to be one of my most favorite people to hang out with.
He quit work February 10th. At that time, it was to take some time off before he turned 18 and just relax before he went out and got his real world job. Now that he has decided to go to college, he is still just relaxing. However, since he quit McDonald's and isn't eating there twice a day, he has lost almost 25 pounds. Doing absolutely nothing but NOT eating McDonald's every day. Not exercising, not walking, not lifting weights. Nothing at all.
I throw that into the post because it leads to a prime example of his humor. I went into his room the other day and he was laying like a slug across his bed watching TV. I asked him what he was doing. His reply. "I'm busy." I said, "You don't look busy." He told me he was. "I am busy. I'm passively losing weight."
Love that kid and look forward to the amazing things he's gonna do as an adult.
