Sophie's BFF (Best Friend Forever)

Last night Sophie and Keegan spent the night.  We played games and made cookies.  But before any of that went on, Sophie told me she was drawing me a picture. She told me I would like it so much I would hold it forever....and I would still be clutching it in my hand when I die. I figured I was eithergonna really like this picture a LOT or else I didn't have long to live.  Turns out - I made it through the night and I LOVED the picture.  The picture shows us holding hands (I'm the tall, brown haired one in the dress) and she's the little blonde cutie (also in a dress, but not hard to imagine.) We are standing under the happy, smiling, BFF! (with a heart) sign.

This morning is their last soccer game. Last night, Sophie also brought me this note to give to her soccer coach.  Nobody put her up to it.  I love that kid.  I hope we are always BFFs.

Soccer has been fun to watch and next up on the sports roundup is basketball.  This is their first attempt at basketball. Sophie did not want to practice before try-outs, but Keegan did.  And it showed.  He was able to dribble with both hands, do bounce and chest passes and made 3 out of 4 baskets.  Patricia, Andi and I just stood there, amazed.  We knew Carly had been practicing with him, but we had no idea he could do all that.  They are playing in the same instructional league that Jacob, Carly and Wes played in for years.  It's a fun way to spend Saturday mornings.
