Wesley

Wesley turned 14 a couple of weeks ago so  He's finally getting taller. He's probably grown 4 inches in the past year.  And he's heavier.  He's glad to note that when he sits in the front seat, the passenger air bag actually turns on now.  His voice is changing and getting deeper.  So outwardly, he's changing quite a bit.

Inwardly, not so much. A few weeks ago, Wesley wrote a paper for school about having "the best day of my life." In it, he described all the things he likes to do - playing video games, hanging out with friends, getting mail with money in it (although he said he liked the cards better than the money, I'm not so sure about that one).

But his story ended with him dying.  What?  How was that the best day of his life?  He asked the same thing in his story.

"The best day of my life ended when I died.  You might wonder how that could be a good thing.  Because at the end of my day, I went to heaven and I walked around in heaven. I saw God and we talked.  It was amazing and I was happy."

I don't care how tall he gets, or if his voice gets deeper than the ocean, I hope his heart stays the same...because it's good just the way it is.
