Public School vs Home School

Not going to start a bit debate - just a little comparison of how this particular morning began. At 7 am, Ryan is up, dressed and eating his bowl of oats. He goes to bed by 9 at the latest - usually at 8.

He is well on his way to the little school down the street where he goes for 3 hours a day.

Meanwhile, in the adjoining room, lay the sleeping home schooled children, who were up late watching a 1969 comedy.

Normally, these children are in bed at 9 or 10, but last night they wanted to watch a movie together and had a very convincing argument. "But, Mom, we are getting along so good, why would you want us to stop that just to go to sleep?" Hmmm, no answer came to mind, so the sleep timer was set on the TV and I went to bed, leaving them to watch their movie.

Their school work will still be done today - it will just start a little later in the morning.
