Long Past Due
Bill has been driving a stick shift, rag top, Sidekick back and forth to his job every day for years. 80 miles a day in a car that had no AC and very little heat -- unless it was summer. He nursed that thing along long after I would have. In fact, I drove it once, years ago, and declared him crazy for driving it another day.
He shifted it for the last time Saturday afternoon as he rolled into the car lot and bought himself a new work car. He said he's not sure he'll know how to act with all the gadgets and gizmos, but I'm thinking he'll figure it out really quickly.
We were 3 months away from having the car we bought in November paid for and now it looks like we're gonna be making car payments for another year... but he's worth it.
