I never, ever should have done it.

If I had any sense at all, I would have seen the picture, read the recipe and moved on, thinking something like, "Oh, those look good for some family, but not ours." But I didn't. Instead I saved the recipe and kept going back and looking at it, till my mind was saying, "Oh, those look like something my family would like." And I was right. I may never have been more right about anything in my life.

The only thing I did wrong was not double the batch the first time I made them. So if your family likes Chocolate Pecan Toffee cookies, these are the ones to make.
