I picked Sophie and Keegan up from school after their PSAT today and this was the lunchtime conversation.

K: Remember that time you told me I was your favorite, Mamaw?

S: Whoa!! Wait a minute. Mamaw, you told me I was your favorite.

K: I can tell you exactly where we were. We were driving home from therapy, and she told me when we were almost to Chandler. When was yours?

S: I don't know exactly, but I KNOW she has told me.

They both stare at me with accusing eyes.

K: Mamaw, is there something you need to clear up here?

Me: Who wants dessert?
