Savannah with the girls
Julie, Nancy and I took a vacation to Savannah for Nancy's 61st birthday. It was a lot of fun, except for flight snafus going both directions. The one on the way home had us still in the air when our next flight was boarding already. In Atlanta. A HUGE airport. I'm sure it was rather comical to see 3 old women running through an airport, up and down escalators, jumping on a tram and yelling down the hallway to hold the flight. They did and we were finally aboard with about 20 seconds to spare before they closed the door and we would have been stuck in Atlanta.
While in Savannah, we went on a stupid ghost walk - never again. We went on a steamboat ship for an evening cruise, a tour of the city called The Moron's Comedy tour, which was great and went on a dolphin adventure on Tybee Island. I've never seen so many dolphins and so close. It was amazing. At night we just drifted around our condo, which was right on the river and went to different bars. We spent our last night at a piano bar, which was great fun.
Of course, Thick Nic went with us to the beach and on our flight to Savannah, he hung out with the airline crew and pilot while we waited. Everyone loves Nic.
