Keegan’s Sweet Caroline

Here’s the deal - I’ve ordered a new car which won’t be here for a few more weeks. However, I have sold my car and it’s being picked up next Thursday. 

So after taking Keegan to the doctor, physical therapy and out to lunch today I told him it looks like I would be borrowing his truck for a week or so. 

His 15 year old truck. The one Andi and Shaun bought for him. The one which he can’t even drive for almost another year.

He stared me down and said, “Mamaw you better not wreck Sweet Caroline or it might be the last thing you ever do.”

I stared right back at him and asked, “Are you threatening to hurt me?”

There was stone cold silence from him but the stare continued. Then I said, “Oh I get it now, it might be the last thing I do if I wreck it because I could die. That’s very sweet of you to be concerned.”

He spoke.  “No. It was the first one.  The threat.”

Then we both cracked up and I kicked him out my car to go into school.
