The Power of the String

Conversation with Keegan as I was taking him home from soccer last night and we were discussing the track meet.

“You know what, Mamaw?”

“Nope. What?”

“I really did like feeling that string on me when I crossed the finish line. It felt great.”

We talk about “the power of the string” around here in reference to tooth pulling, but now I think it has a dual meaning.
