Update on Ryan

I had court with Ryan for a progress hearing. After the hearing, I talked to him for about 20 minutes. He's going to try to be admitted to a job corps. He has agreed to go into that transitional housing when he turns 18 if he's not accepted into job corps.

His report says he has a total of three high school credits and he's almost 18. I would say his education went by the wayside somewhere, since he should have 30. He Has been in 7 placements in 2016 and had to leave every one because of aggressive behavior toward other residents or staff members. actually broke the staff member's arm at his last placement in December. I can't imagine why he wasn't punished for that other than an arrest for battery that they let drop. He thinks he's going to be a famous rapper. But he has agreed to learn welding. Physically, he looked good. He's about 6' tall. Unless he gets a handle on his anger issues, I fear for his future.
