The good from the bad

Ever find your family in a situation that you think looks utterly depressing and you wonder what good can come out of it?

A couple years ago, we had one of those situations when Andi got divorced. It broke my heart, because I loved Jacob, yet I understood the reasons behind it and supported her decision.

The "good" that has come from it is in the way of my new son in law, Shaun.  This young man is truly a blessing. He not only loves Andi, he treasures her. He is fiercely ...protective of her and is always there when she is having "bad brain" days. Shaun is a wonderful dad to Sophie and Keegan and they adore him. He is a fantastic big brother to Jacob, Carly and Wes and they all love hanging out with him. When he joined our family, he gave me two adorable granddaughters, Peyton and Paige.

I don't know if I've ever actually written it out, but I thank God for Shaun and I love that guy. He brings laughter and fun and our family is blessed to have him and the girls be part of it. Once again, we are better having gone through the bad part to get to here.
