Update on Ryan
He's tall. 6'2" and growing. He's cute and he's still very troubled. He has been a resident longer than anyone in the 19 years since the opening of the facility where he is currently living. That is mainly because he is not cooperating with the staff to complete his treatment.
The report that I just received said he is making death threats against the staff. I hope they take him seriously and act accordingly. I had a long meeting with his CASA worker, therapist and case worker this week. They are hoping to place him in a group home or a therapeutic foster home with people trained to handle his problems. They are also going to be looking into therapies that might be useful to someone on the Autism Spectrum.
Ryan still does not take full responsibility for the things he did that landed him at this facility. He continues to blame others for his actions and to make up stuff to try and cause us grief. Unless some major changes are made, I don't see a very promising future for Ryan and that breaks this momma's heart.
