Update on my foot

I went to the foot surgeon this morning and he is not ready to do a tendon transfer. He thinks it is too soon. Which seems to be in direct opposition to what the first orthopedic doctor and the doctor who did the nerve study say - they both seem to think it should be done ASAP in order to have the most function with the least amount of rehab.


But this guy is supposed to be the best foot surgeon around and I'm gonna have to go with him. He said he only does about 1 tendon transfer per year, so I'm not too sure I want to be the one for 2014.


I am instead going to have a AFO brace made that has a spring in it which will help lift my foot as I walk.  He thinks that alone might be enough to keep me from tripping and enable me to walk more normally.  I'm going for that appointment Thursday.
