Retreat - 2012
This weekend, the girls and I went to our second annual retreat smack dab in the middle of nowhere, namely in the Hoosier National Forrest. The location pretty much ensures you are retreating from civilization, as there is no way to get an internet signal, phone service is spotty at best and you hear this phrase over and over...."Do you have any bars?"...and they aren't talking about the liquor type.
We had a great time, even going so far as to retreat from the retreat by skipping a few sessions to just relax, sitting on the porch in the middle of the woods and watching squirrels play. Since the picture below was indicative of our front yard, it's not wonder we were mesmerized into lounging around.
Nova got a horrible cold, so Kelli and I made early morning Wal Mart run for medicines. A "run" to Wal Mart when you are in the middle of nowhere is about a 90 minute trip.
And although I took a "Learn to Crochet" class, I didn't. I was a miserable failure at it. But, I'm gonna keep trying -- for a little bit anyway.
Even with "specialized" help, I was a flunk out crocheter.
Enjoying the fresh caramel corn in Nashville.

It took us awhile to get home because we had to keep stopping by the side of the road to take random pictures, such as these where Nova was pretending to lead the orchestra with a weed. There was also a video made, but I had to promise to not show that in her lifetime. Crazy women. Good times.
