I'm glad it's almost bedtime.
I went to see my dad today who was in therapy and his therapist asked me, "Did they find your dad's hearing aid?"
WHAT? The ones we paid $3000 LAST WEEK and had delivered MONDAY? That one? Why yes, that one. That one which is lost and nobody saw fit to contact the family.
Enter alter ego Perri who went ballistic --- in a very controlled, level tone sort of way that got the point across. The facility will be purchasing a new one now.
As for the actual visit with my dad, I took a copy of the picture I made the other day at the zoo to him for his room. He didn't recognize any of the kids in the picture - said he had never seen them before.
I asked him if knew me. Nope, can't say that he did.
I asked if he had a daughter. He said he didn't know. I told him he did, did he know her name? Yes, he did.
Great - what is it?
Are you ready for my new name?
Dolly Madison.
That's me :(
I told him no, I was not Dolly Madison and he said I must be Jason then.

Please pray for Keegan. He has been vomiting for days and if he can't keep some fluids down tonight, he has to go into the hospital tomorrow for IV fluids.
On to the positive side of the day.... I took the kids on a field trip to a bowling alley today. They got to go behind the scenes and see how it works. It was really neat and then we bowled with a bunch of their friends, before having ice cream on the way home.
Heidi is intent on making sure my day ends on a good note. She is taking me out Longhorn's for Wild West Shrimp and strawberry lemonade. I love that woman :)
Edited to add: Mari, I have no doubt that dad is probably responsible for the hearing aid going missing. But they should have called because you can be dang sure our entire family would have been scouring that entire place, not just going about our business, which is basically what they did when I questioned them as to what they had done to find it.
