I used to think
that trading out the seasonal clothing was the most dreaded household chore. I was wrong. It has been bumped from first place by the "buying new jeans for winter for the kids" nightmare. This year was no better than last year.
In the last 3 days I have brought home at over 20 pair of jeans from Wal-Mart, Target, Sears, J.C. Penney, Kohl's and Marshalls.
One fit. As in only one. Which means that out of $421.00 worth of jeans, I was able to fit Ryan with one pair. Now I get to return and start over. This really shouldn't be that hard, but every year it's the same old routine.
As Charlie Brown would say, "AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH."
Edited to add - This is why I hate this job so much. Jacob tried on jeans this evening in the midst of the return frenzy. At Penney's, he could not wear a size 20 jeans in the Arizona brand, but AT THE SAME STORE, I bought him 2 pair of Levi jeans -- size 11.
